Infinity is a compact indoor walk-through attraction at Chevron Renaissance in Surfers Paradise. Rather than a conventional mirror maze, it is a sequence of 20 dark, highly sensory environments using mirrors, lighting, sound and other effects to make the route deliberately disorienting. The official operator currently describes the journey as taking about 30 minutes, although queues can add time at busy periods.

What the experience is actually like

You move from one themed environment to the next and work out how to find the exit without retracing your route. Some rooms use reflections to hide the path; others lean on darkness, moving light, sound and spatial effects. It is interactive in the sense that you have to navigate it yourself, but it is not an escape room and there are no timed puzzles to solve.

How long to allow

Infinity's current visitor information puts the attraction itself at roughly 30 minutes. Allow extra time if you are visiting on a wet day, weekend or school holiday because those are natural peak periods for an indoor Surfers Paradise attraction. The operator specifically notes that queues can become much longer at busy times.

Age guidance and sensory considerations

The operator recommends Infinity for children aged eight and over. Younger children do sometimes enter, but the low lighting, loud noises and unusual effects can be unsettling for a child who dislikes sensory surprises. Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult. If somebody in your group is very uncomfortable in darkness or enclosed-feeling environments, this is worth considering before buying tickets.

Is it scary?

It is not marketed as a haunted house or horror attraction. The uncertainty of the dark rooms and unexpected effects can still feel spooky to some visitors, especially children, but there are no actors chasing you or conventional jump-scare horror scenes. The challenge is mostly visual and sensory confusion.

Location in Surfers Paradise

Infinity is on the ground floor of Chevron Renaissance at the corner of Surfers Paradise Boulevard and Elkhorn Avenue. That makes it easy to combine with Cavill Avenue, the beachfront or another central attraction rather than building a whole day around it. The current operator directions place it only a short walk north of Cavill Avenue G:link station.

Parking and public transport

Chevron Renaissance currently offers two hours of complimentary undercover parking for visitors, subject to the centre's parking conditions. If you are already on the coastal strip, the tram is usually simpler: get off at Cavill Avenue and walk north along Surfers Paradise Boulevard. Always check current parking conditions if you expect to stay in the precinct longer than the free period.

Opening hours and tickets

Infinity currently advertises daily opening, with later-morning opening on weekdays and earlier opening on weekends. Holiday hours differ around Christmas and Anzac Day. Because hours, ticket prices and promotions can change, use the operator's live booking page on the day you plan to visit rather than relying on an old screenshot or reseller listing.

Best time to visit

If flexibility matters more than a particular time slot, the operator currently suggests opening time or roughly late afternoon to early evening as periods that can have shorter waits. School holidays, weekends and rainy weather can be much busier. Unlike some timed-entry attractions, the current system allows visitors to buy a ticket and join the queue rather than requiring a fixed entry time.

Who gets the most value from it?

Infinity makes the most sense for families with older children, teens, couples and small groups who want something unusual for half an hour in the centre of Surfers Paradise. It is especially useful as a wet-weather option, but it is not a substitute for a full theme-park day: think of it as a distinctive short attraction that slots neatly between other activities.
